if you follow me on twitter you probably know my ongoing weeklong issues with microsoft support right now. the basics are this:
early on oct 6, i purchased an app to use for note taking. the app refuses to download to my surface despite it exceeding the minimum system requirements. i update the shit out of my device, restart it so many times, no dice.
i end up downloading it to my UMPC??? which barely met the requirements. which okay, so it works on ONE device but not the one i need it on and not the one it was purchased on??? so i went to microsoft support forums. which are absolute trash. just fucking shit they're trash.
i spend several hours trying to get it to work. i tried to use their chat and it tells me to talk to a live person except i never connect anywhere. i try to call and, guess what, i just get an autoamted message to i'm during the timezones they're suppsoed to be staffed and over the day i still have not talked to a live person via microsoft.
i ended up getting desperate and ended up in xbox support. i actually got a real person! i apologized and explained my situation and she admitted it was out of her wheelhouse but she'd help me! she was with me for two hours and it didn't work but she was so nice and she tried. she also gave me the link to try and get more help or a refund for my purchase.
i filled it out, and got an email that in 72hrs i'll get a message back. instead, it took OVER 96 HOURS for them to respond... to tell me that it's resolved and i should fill out their survey???? THE FUCK thirty minutes later, i actually got their “resolution” which was to say that they can't refund my money.
