Some FF7 Fic Recs

I wonder if I hold a writing contest and winners get drawings of their choice?

I thirst for Sefikura ship okay and I haven't read any decent ones yet. 😩

so*!!* here's a #ficrecs of some of my fave ffvii fics that are sefikura (or adjacent). I'll put some notes and important tags.

• Angel in the Rafters by skadren (M, ongoing, 14/?). Eventual Sefikura. Time Travel Fix It and Wing Fic!
• An Altercation by Cowpog (T, complete, oneshot). Not shippy, crack-y outsider POV fic.
• Take Time and Find by kzam for modeoheim (G, complete, 2/2). Eventual ASGZC, initially ASGZ + Other/Cloud. Friends to Lovers. Also wrote the soulmate sefikura No Strings Attached
• A Blossom in the Desert by modeoheim (T, complete, oneshot). Sefikura, ZackxAertih. Hanahaki AU (sorta). Probably more geared towards ZackxAerith with bg established sefikura. This author writes a lot of sefikura and asgzc and is def worth a look through especially if you want fluffier stuff? For example, their ASGZC pokemon AU Boyfriend Type (T) or sefikura space AU The Brightest Star in this Universe (M). Also the AZGSC stories for Cloud's Birthday Week 2k15 (T-E) are hilarious.
• Heat, Fury, and Fascination by Gemsom. (M, ongoing, 22/?). ASGZC. Omegaverse. Cloud joins SOLDIER and ends up becoming the first omega to be in the system.
• Not so Accidental Baby Acquisition by esama (T, incomplete, 3/?). Not shippy. Crack treated semi-seriously, Cloud centric. esama writes a lot of fics for a lot of series. I really enjoy their FF7 ones but they're mostly gen or not sefikura (my absolute faves are the clone wars crossover and crossdressing!cloud but that's vincentxcloud)
• The Key to Survival by jesso (M, complete, 7ch). SC, AG. Soulmates AU. Kind of crack. Pining, fluff, all that good stuff. Also jesso's Far Beyond the End is great too
• Let's Play by AsreonInfusion (podfic available). (E, complete, 15ch). So many permutations of the ASGZC ship. The summary is perfect so i'll use that:

  It was one of those open secrets that no one was really quite sure if they believed or not. It was legendary. The finest artists, writers, and programmers from Silver Elite and Red Leather had come together and made… a game. Did it really exist? Yes. Yes, it did. And Cloud had a copy.

• Once Removed by Asuka Kureru (Askerian) (T, INCOMPLETE, series). Seph/Zack/Cloud/Aeris. Oneshots. Set pre-game.
• Restore 'verse (T-M, series). Eventual Cloud/Tifa/Zack/Aerith/Sephiroth. Post advent children, eventual redemption for Sephiroth.
• Homecoming by metamorcy (T, complete, oneshot). ASGZC. Meeting the in-law. This author has another good, ongoing series, called Blond Devils (wherein Rufus and Cloud go back in time) but since it's not SC-y it's not on this list lol. I think they have some good ASGZC though!
• Rescue by ComeBackWhen (T-M, series, incomplete). ASGZC (eventually). A series where nobody dies, they come together to help each other.
• Unplanned Parenthood by Josiah_Greenwood for PointySeaUrchin (T, incomplete, 24/?). gen fic, maybe a seph adopts cloud because crack. just... read the summary.
• The Enemy by ComeBackWhen (G-T, series, incomplete but the fics so far can be read standalone). Genfic. Minor character death. Timetravel.
• Unexpected Side-Effects by tirsynni (E, series, everything posted in complete, implied continuation). ZSC. Tentacles!
• The Home We Make by Lockea (M, complete, 5ch). AZGSC, TifaxAerith. BDSM (both good and bad etiquette). Warnings for sexual slavery and underage.
• Crashing Silence by YanderePuppet (M, complete, 5ch). Dark, yandere, mind control.
• A Few Small Repairs by Kalloway for Meekobits (T, complete, 7ch). Sefikura. Alternate Timeline: Cloud never went to Shinra
• The Fenrir Effect by TheLonelySheWolf (E, ongoing, 10/?) ZC -> ASGZC eventually. Omegaverse. Slowburn.
• An Unusual Situation by ComeBackWhen (G, complete, 3ch). Eventual SefiKura. Comedy; Sephiroth attempts to woo Cloud.
• You are (not) alone. by soliloqui for modeoheim (T, complete, 1ch). ASGZC. Content warnings for anxiety attacks, depression, and Cloud just doing very poorly mentally for a lot of the fic until the comfort starts.
• Decommssioned by xantissa. (M, complete, 5ch). ZSC. Space opera, mentions of slavery.
• The Worst Assignment by A_Writer_of_Whimsy (M, complete, 15ch). Sefikura, GenSeph, Zerith. Cloud becomes Sephiroth's bodyguard. No really.
• The Old Ways by corvidkohai (T, complete 3ch). Sefikura. Dark. puppet!cloud
• Secret by Illusioneery (Arkee) (M, complete, 14ch). Sefikura, Zerith, implied AG. Fairytale-fusion, sorta.
• It All Started On A Train Ride by zxrysky (T, complete, 1ch). No ship. Cloud joins SOLDIER in the strangest ways.
• Draw With Me by XpaperplaneX (T, series, complete). Vaguely Sefikura, more dangerously codependent than romantic. Remember that Draw With Me video that was really popular in the 00s? Yeah, based on that. Drama, H/C. The author has a few other Sefikura fics, of which i highly recommend The Endless Ocean (E, ongoing) and Tentacle 'verse (E).
• Making It Work by etrix (E, complete, 13ch). Sefikura, Zerith, Some ZSC sorta. Cloud saves the world by the power of being a nerd. And friendship.
• Mad World by etrix (E, Complete, 57ch). Zakkura -> ZSC eventually, other ships. Post original games with some content from later parts of the ff7verse. Angst, torture, wings.
• The Results of Concussed Confessions by Up_sideand_down (E, complete, 2ch). Sefikura. Female!Sephiroth. They have a fem!Cloud take on it in Genderswitched.
• The Completely Inept Courtship of the One-Winged Angel's Cloud by Anonymous (T, incomplete 17/?). Sefikura, eventually. Outsider POV, post time travel.
• Demonology Verse (E, series, 6+ works). Mostly Sefikura, with some ZC and ZSC. Supernatural. Vampire!Sephiroth x Succubus!Cloud... in SOLDIDER.
• if you want smut, pretty much all of sephcountstheways stuff is a+. also plot. YMMV depending on how "in character" and "universe compliant" you want your fics to be.
• Counter Crisis by Dragoon_sama, Kooriicolada (WHM_Koorii) (T, ongoing, 24/33). Sefikura, Zerith. Slowburn, time travel fix it fic.
• Of Cadets and Curtains by Tsuki_Amano (T, complete, 10ch). Sefikura.
• A Long Road to Destiny by Miko (T, complete, 26ch). Gen. FFX fusion wherein Cloud is a summoner and Zack convinces Sephiroth to become his guardian.
• I'm No Superman by mystiri1 (Gen, complete, oneshot). Gen, vaguely ZSC. Superheroes AU.
• The Fifth Act by Sinnatious (Gen, complete, 38). Genfic. Time Travel, one of my favorite fics ever. Not ship (but there's definitely implied Sefikura in some of the sidestories) but a really great Cloud and Sephiroth friendship.
• Twisted by Sichelblume (E, complete, 3ch). Sefikura. PWP, Safer Sephiroth x Cloud. Tagged dubcon, beastiality, Xeno, mind control, Mpreg
• Cloud's Alphabet by KlikStar (M, complete, 26ch). Multiple ships. Series of oneshots detailing various kinks with Cloud.
• The Mission by Ardwynna (E, incomplete, 32/?). SGC + AZ -> ASGZC. set when Cloud's a cadet.
• Never Speak It by Skeren (E, series, incomplete, fics in it so far are complete). Sefikura. Dark, underage, noncon, trauma, just... read at your own risk.
• Fox Child by Zetran (E, series). Sefikura. Dark, series of one shots, often has smut. Dark themes. Some cannibalism.
